Renée Villafan, Daytime Programming

Renée Villafan has continuously served on the Television Academy's Daytime Programming Peer Group Executive Committee since 2017, as well as the Primetime Awards Committee since 2017. She has also worked closely with the Daytime Awards Committee, attending as a PGEC member since 2017.

Villafan has spent her career in daytime and primetime production at Sony Pictures Television, currently serving as Director of Programming. Having covered Days of our Lives and The Young and the Restless for the past 13 years, she also manages physical production on SVOD programs including Wheel of Time and Absentia (Amazon), premium cable productions including Outlander (Starz), and original programming for Crackle (including The Art of More, StartUp and The Oath).

In her personal time, Villafan donates her energy to several worthy causes – she has organized and led AIDS Walk teams for Sony Pictures; volunteers at her children's schools in Los Angeles; has participated along with her husband in yearly drives for OneSight for over a decade, helping to get corrective eyewear to people around the world who lack access to vision care; and closest to her heart is the work she does for the charity Children With Hair Loss.
