MADtv Cast Hosts Creative Arts Awards

Melean, Wilson, McDonald, Weir, Collins, Spears, Caliendo and Lee

The Creative Arts Awards are about to go mad. The cast of MADtv, Fox’s sketch comedy series, will host the 2003 Primetime Creative Arts Emmy Awards. The announcement was made by Spike Jones, Jr., producer of the awards.

"Our audience can expect to see everyone from Kelsey Grammer to Larry David to Connie Chung and Anna Nicole portrayed by the cast in typical MADtv fashion," said Jones.

For the past eight seasons, MADtv has proven to be an audience favorite on Saturday nights and has received 5 Emmy nominations this year. The series is a comedic showcase for movie and television parodies, political satire, commercial spoofs and pop-culture commentaries. The show has garnered critical acclaim as well, making TV Guide's list of the fifty funniest moments in TV history.
