Consistent with the shift in career opportunities for entertainment industry professionals, the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences' Interactive Media Peer Group (IMPG) has expanded its eligibility requirements for membership. Additionally, the IMPG has appointed three new Awards working group co-chairs for the 63rd Primetime Emmy Awards for Interactive Media, and is partnering with Intel to present a unique look at television’s continuing evolution for all Academy members.

HBO, AMC Lead Winners at 62nd Primetime Emmys, ABC and CBS Top Broadcast Networks

A mix of new comedies and veteran dramas dominated the 62nd Primetime Emmy Awards on Sunday night, while HBO monopolized the statuettes for movies and miniseries.

ABC’s Modern Family led all series programs with three Emmy wins, including outstanding comedy. It also won for supporting actor Eric Stonestreet and writers Steven Levitan and Christopher Lloyd for their pilot episode script.

Claire Danes, Ted Danson, Emily Deschanel, Nathan Fillion, Lauren Graham, Mariska Hargitay, Boris Kodjoe, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Christopher Meloni, Tom Selleck and Maura Tierney have been confirmed to present during Sunday’s live coast-to-coast telecast of the 62nd Primetime Emmy Awards.

Claire Danes — Nominated for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Miniseries or Movie (Temple Grandin)

Ted Danson — Nominated for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Drama Series (Damages)

Emily Deschanel — Star of the Fox series Bones

Jewel to Perform During In Memoriam Tribute at the 62nd Primetime Emmys

Three-time Grammy® Award nominee Jewel will perform during the In Memoriam tribute at the 62nd Primetime Emmy® Awards. The telecast will be broadcast live coast-to-coast from NOKIA Theatre L.A. LIVE in Los Angeles on Sunday, August 29 (5:00pm PT / 8pm ET), on NBC.

Jewel will perform an acoustic version of her song “The Shape of You,” which she wrote about the loss of her friend. The song is previously unreleased, but will be available on iTunes.

HBO Tops 2010 Creative Arts Emmys, ABC Leads Broadcast Networks, Show Airs August 27 on E!

HBO topped the list of winners at the 2010 Creative Arts Emmy Awards with 17 golden statuettes, followed by ABC with 15.

Leading the recipients of multiple awards was HBO's World War II epic The Pacific, with seven Emmys. The 10-part miniseries led all Emmy nominees this year with 24.

The ceremony was held at NOKIA theatre L.A. LIVE in downtown Los Angeles. The event will air as a two-hour special on Friday, August 27, at 1:00 p.m. (ET/PT), on E! Entertainment Television.
