Zach Braff, Geena Davis, Adrian Grenier, Alyson Hannigan, Hugh Laurie, Chris O'Donnell confirmed as presenters for the 57th Emmys

LOS ANGELES, September 8, 2005 – Zach Braff, Geena Davis, Adrian Grenier, Alyson Hannigan, Hugh Laurie and Chris O’Donnell have been confirmed as presenters for the 57th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards.  The show will broadcast live from Los Angeles’ historic Shrine Auditorium, Sunday, September 18 (8:00-11:00 p.m. ET Live/PT tape delayed) on the CBS Television Network.

Nominated for his first Emmy, Zach Braff currently stars as ‘Dr. John "J.D." Dorian’ on NBC’s comedy "Scrubs,” a role for which he also received a 2005 Golden Globe nomination for Best Actor in a Television Series.  He recently wrote, directed, and starred in the feature film “Garden State,” for which he earned a WGA nomination for Best Original Screenplay, an Independent Spirit Award for Best First Feature as well as a nomination for Best First Screenplay. Braff also won a Grammy for the film’s handpicked soundtrack.  His other film credits include “The Broken Hearts Club,” “Getting to Know You” and “Manhattan Murder Mystery.”  He can next be seen in the features “Fast Track” and “The Last Kiss” and be heard as the voice of the title character in Disney’s “Chicken Little.”

Academy-Award winning actress Geena Davis currently stars as 'Mackenzie Allen' in the upcoming ABC drama series "Commander-In-Chief." Davis won the Academy Award in 1989 for her role as 'Muriel Pritchett' in the feature "The Accidental Tourist" and garnered an additional Academy Award nomination and Golden Globe nomination for her role as 'Thelma' in "Thelma and Louise." Davis also earned a pair of Golden Globe nominations for her performances in "Speechless" and "A League of Their Own."  Additional feature film credits include "Stuart Little," "Stuart Little 2," "The Long Kiss Goodnight," "Hero," "Beetlejuice," and "Tootsie."

Adrian Grenier currently stars as 'Vincent Chase' on the HBO comedy series "Entourage."  Grenier first received critical acclaim for his role in the independent film "The Adventures of Sebastian Cole."  His most recent films include Woody Allen's "Anything Else" and "Love in the Time of Money."  Grenier also writes, directs and performs with his band, The Honey Brothers.

Alyson Hannigan is currently starring in the upcoming CBS comedy series
"How I Met Your Mother" as 'Lily.' She previously starred in the popular drama "Buffy: The Vampire Slayer" from 1997 to 2003 as 'Willow Rosenberg,' and in the three successful "American Pie" features: "American Pie," "American Pie 2," and "American Wedding." She will next star in the upcoming Fox film, "Date Movie."

Hugh Laurie is nominated for his first Emmy for his role as title character ‘Dr. Gregory House’ on the FOX medical drama "House." Laurie previously starred in a number of British television comedy series including "A Bit of Fry and Laurie," which he also co-wrote, “Blackadder," "Saturday Live," and "Jeeves and Wooster." On American television, Laurie portrayed ‘Vincente Minnelli’ in the telefilm "Life with Judy Garland: Me and My Shadows” and appeared in "Tracy Takes On" and "Friends."  His film credits include "Flight of the Phoenix," "Peter's Friends,” "Sense and Sensibility," "Cousin Bette," "The Man in the Iron Mask," "101 Dalmations," "Stuart Little" and "Stuart Little 2."

Chris O’Donnell stars in the new FOX comedy series "Head Cases" this fall, where he portrays an attorney rebounding a nervous breakdown who decides to start up his own firm.  O’Donnell was last seen at this years’ Tribeca Film Festival in “The Sisters” and the recent feature film “Kinsey.” O’Donnell’s long list of feature film credits include “Cookies Fortune,” “Batman and Robin,” “In Love and War,” “The Chamber,” “Batman Forever,” “Circle of Friends,” “The Bachelor,” “Vertical Limit,” “Three Musketeers,” and the Academy Award-winning “Scent of a Woman,” for which he garnered a Golden Globe nomination.
