Publicist Tim Chandler Passes

Tim Chandler, a longtime HBO publicist, died May 15, 2009, in the Bronx, NY. He was 58.

As a senior publicist at HBO Networks for 15 years, Chandler worked on documentaries, theatrical films, made-for-television movies, specials, series and sports.

Previously, he worked in theater for many years, particularly at the New York Shakespeare Festival, where he served as an assistant to the late Joseph Papp, and at Lincoln Center’s Public Theater partnership.

Born in Columbus, Ohio, Chandler graduated from Otterbein College and Bowling Green University, and served in the U.S. Air Force. He was an active volunteer at the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation.

He is survived by two brothers.
