Will serve as Head of Advertising Sales and Business Development for the award-winning emmy magazine

The Television Academy announced today that it has contracted with media sales, marketing and publishing executive Rose Einstein to serve as Head of Advertising Sales and Business Development for the award-winning emmy magazine. The announcement was made by Television Academy President and COO Lucy Hood.

In this role, Einstein will be responsible for all advertising sales and strategic partnerships for the Academy's flagship publication, recipient of 34 Maggie Awards from the Western Publishing Association, including being named the 2013 Best Overall Publication/Trade by the organization. In addition to emmy, Einstein will handle sales for all of the Television Academy's other print publications, including the program books for the Primetime Emmy Awards, Los Angeles Area Emmy Awards, Hall of Fame and the Television Academy Honors. She will report directly to Hood and Juan Morales, the Academy's director of publications and editor in chief of emmy magazine.

"Rose is a dynamic entertainment industry and new media executive who will bring added partnership and revenue opportunities to emmy magazine," said Hood. "She has excellent relationships within our industry and will continue to build upon the growth and success of emmy."

Einstein is the founder of entertainment media sales firm Rose Einstein and Associates. The company specializes in the monetization, branding and marketing of productions, events, trade shows, digital products, magazines, daily publications and directories.

Einstein previously served as Vice President and Associate Publisher for Nielsen Business Media, where she was tasked with building a global sales team, building a more efficient sales cycle and expanding the brand footprint of events, as well as both the print and digital properties of The Hollywood Reporter.

Prior to joining Nielsen Business Media, Einstein served as the VP of Advertising for Netflix, where she developed the advertising process and built the company's sales team from scratch.

In 2004, Einstein joined Variety as Vice President and Publishing Director. During her tenure Einstein supervised a staff of ninety employees while overseeing the publishing operations of ten daily publications, three weeklies and 250 special supplements, as well as numerous custom pieces and online properties. Her efforts ultimately generated over $90 million in business for the publication. She also held several other senior executive positions at Reed Business Information, Video Business magazine and the Variety Group during her close to 25 years in the industry.
