Stephen Blackman, Cinematographer on Numerous Memorable Commercials

Blackman's spots included work for such clients as VIrgin Atlantic Airlines, Audi, BMW and Chevrolet.

Stephen Blackman, a cinematographer who worked primarily in television commercials, died July 4, 2012.

According to news reports, the cause was complications from a stroke.

Blackman, who also worked on such films as The Cement Garden and Strictly Sinatra, was director of photography on many memorable commercials, including spots for such clients as Virgin Atlantic Airlines, Audi, BMW and Chevrolet.
