Robert Litz, Playwright Turned FIlm and Television Scribe

Sitz wrote nearly 20 plays, as well as several movies and TV projects.

Robert Sitz, a prolific playwright who also wrote extensively for ilm and television, died October 10, 2012, in Los Angeles. He was 62.

According to news reports, he died of natural causes.

From the early 1980s onward, Litz wrote more than a dozen plays that were produced primarily Off Broadway, Off, Off Off Broadway, regional theaters and the Elephant Theater Company.

His screenplays included House of Cards, Medium Straight and Rappin’.

For television, Litz wrote shows for A&E, History and Discovery, including several episodes of A&E's Biography. Subjects included George Washington, Benjamin Franklin, Andrew Jackson and John Travolta, which was nominated for an Emmy.
