Richard Briers, Acclaimed British Actor

Briers was a longtime co-star of the U.K. television series The Good Life.

Richard Briers, an actor best known for a long-running role on the British television series The Good Life, died February 17, 2013. He was 79.

According to news reports, Briers had been battling a serious lung condition for several years.

In addition to his television work, Briers also had roles in several of several movies directed by Kenneth Branagh, including Peter’s Friends and Much Ado About Nothing.

He was an accomplished stage performer.
