Joseph S. Gans, Cable Television Hall of Famer

Gans helped to develop the growth of cable in his native Pennsylvania and beyond.

Joseph S. Gans Jr., a cable television pioneer and founder and former chairman of Gans Multimedia Partnership, died July 31, 2012. He was 85.

A member of the Cable Hall of Fame, Gans began his career in 1950, when he helped to design and build one of the first cable systems in Pennsylvania.
