Esther O. Mitchell, Prolific Writer of TV Dramas

Along with her husband, Bob Mitchell, she collaborated on scripts for several top series.

Esther O. Mitchell, a television writer who, in collaboration her husband, Bob Mitchell, wrote scripts for several popular action and drama series died May 30, 2012, in Woodland Hills, California. She wold have turned 92 the following day.

A native of Wyoming, Mitchell began writing with her husband in the 1970s; he had been writing for television since the 1950s. They continued to write together for 20 years.

Her many credits included numerous episodes of Combat! and Land of the Giants, as well as installments of Perry Mason, The High Chaparral, Land of the Giants, Cannon, S.W.A.T., Charlie's Angels, Hawaii Five-O, Buck Rogers in the 25th Century and CHiPs.
