Kraddick, a popular radio personality for many years, also hosted the syndicated TV program Dish Nation.
David “Kidd” Kraddick, a popular syndicated radio host also seen on the television program Dish Nation, died July 27, 2013, in New Orleans, Louisiana. He was 53.
According to news reports, Kraddick died while participating in a golf tournament in the New Orleans area to raise money for his Kidd’s Kids Charity.
Kraddick was based in Dallas, and his show had been syndicated since 2001. It was heard on more than 100 stations throughout the U.S.
“Kidd devoted his life to making people smile every morning, and for 21 years his foundation has been dedicated to bringing joy to thousands of chronically and terminally ill children,” said a statement from YEA Networks. “He died doing what he loved, and his final day was spent selflessly focused on those special children that meant to world to him.”
In addition to Dish Nation, Kraddick had a small role in the 1999 miniseries To Serve and Protect.
His passing elicited an outpouring of sympathy from many stars from the worlds of radio, music, television and the media.
