Me and My Emmy: Jeff Russo

Jeff Russo can hardly believe his luck — or that he won an Emmy.

Primetime Emmy Tally: One

How He Got the Gold: For outstanding music composition for a miniseries, movie or a special original dramatic score, for FX's Fargo, 2017.

Now for the Noms: Russo has been nominated three times for Fargo: in 2014, '16 and '17.

Beyond Belief: "I keep my Emmy statue in my office/writing room. Looking at it always brings back that thrilling feeling of complete disbelief when my name was announced."

No Mistake: "Winning the Emmy was a bit unreal. At first I thought, 'They must have read that wrong.' The entire time I was on stage was a blur."

Happy Together: "Who doesn't love a big party? The great thing about attending the Emmy Awards is the sense of community and coming together to celebrate the art and all of the hard work."

In the Beginning: "I've always been a fan of music for narrative and wondered if that was something I could do. I caught the bug when I got invited to hang out at the studio while a good friend of mine worked on a TV show. Once that happened, I knew I had to pursue composing. I feel so lucky to work on projects as diverse as Star Trek: Discovery, Legion and Fargo."

Star Struck: "It's an indescribable feeling to be part of the Star Trek universe. There is certainly the terror of walking in the shadow of giants. I've been a fan of Star Trek since I was a kid, so being a part of that family is a huge thrill and definitely is a childhood dream coming true."
