Social Buzz: Top TV Shows - January 11-17, 2015

Ahhh the long weekend. It was great while it lasted, but now that it’s over, you may be feeling a little bit of the “back to work” blues.

The perfect cure? Laughter. After all, what could better to beat a case of the downers than lying back with a few snacks, powering on the ol’ flat screen and laughing until your cheeks hurt?

This week, we look at four of the most talked-about comedy premieres and two titillating drama premieres: Parks and Recreation, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Broad City, Man Seeking Woman, 12 Monkeys, and The Musketeers. With so many new shows, we wanted to know which of the following fans were most excited for:

• The retelling of the adventures of Athos, Porthos, and Aramis in The Musketeers

• The gripping story of a time traveler from a post-apocalyptic future in 12 Monkeys

• Josh Greenberg’s quest for true love in Man Seeking Woman

• Abbi and Ilana’s ridiculous Brooklyn escapades in Broad City’s return

• The shenanigans of quirky Charlie Day and crew in It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia

• The seventh and final season of fan favorite Parks and Recreation


The Social Totals

The premiere of the final season of Parks and Recreation sparked the most amount of engagement on Facebook and Twitter, as the show held 58.5% of market share.

Active Audiences

Though total number of social engagements doesn’t necessarily translate into most engaged audience, Parks and Recreation proved to have the most active Twitter audience this week with 339.6 engagements per 1K followers. Broad City made its way to the top on Facebook with 269.0 engagements per 1K fans.
