From Foundation Interns to Emmy Winners!

Foundation internship alumni receive five Emmy nominations and two wins in 2017.

  • Former Foundation Intern, Rachel Axler, wins Outstanding Comedy Series for Veep at the 69th Emmy Awards on Sunday, Sept. 17, 2017, at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.

  • Former Foundation Intern, Rich Preuss, wins for Outstanding Creative Achievement in Interactive Media Within An Unscripted Program for The Oscars: All Access at the 69th Creative Arts Emmy Awards on Saturday, Sept. 9, 2017, at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.

The Television Academy Foundation is delighted to celebrate the success of five former interns who were recognized with 69th Emmy Award nominations.   • Rachel Axler, 2004 Scriptwriting Intern - Emmy recipient for Outstanding Comedy Series (Veep)
  • Rich Preuss, 1996 TV Directing Intern - Emmy recipient for Outstanding Creative Achievement in Interactive Media Within An Unscripted Program (The Oscars: All Access)
  • Edye Belasco, 1991 Casting Intern - Nominated for Outstanding Casting For A Comedy Series (Transparent)
  • Steven Norman Lee, 2000 Costume Intern - Nominated for Outstanding Costumes for Variety, Nonfiction or Reality Programming (Dancing with the Stars-Halloween Night)
  • Eric Spagnoletti, 1999 Post-Production Intern - Nominated for Outstanding Picture Editing For An Unstructured Reality Program (Born This Way)
