CHARLES S. DUTTON, JENNIFER LOVE HEWITT, ELLEN POMPEO, JIMMY SMITS AND SELA WARD CONFIRMED AS PRESENTERS FOR THE 57TH ANNUAL PRIMETIME EMMY AWARDS Awards Broadcast Live From Los Angeles' Shrine Auditorium on September 18 on the CBS Television Network

North Hollywood, CA, August 25, 2005 – Charles S. Dutton, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Ellen Pompeo, Jimmy Smits, and Sela Ward have been confirmed as presenters for the 57th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards.  The show will broadcast live from Los Angeles’ historic Shrine Auditorium, Sunday, September 18 (8:00-11:00 p.m. ET Live/PT tape delayed) on the CBS Television Network.

Three-time Emmy winner Charles S. Dutton is currently starring in the upcoming CBS suspense thriller “Threshold” as Deputy National Security Advisor ‘J.T. Baylock.’ Dutton won an Emmy Award in 2002 for his guest-starring role on "The Practice," which he followed in 2003 with another Emmy Award for his guest-starring role on "Without a Trace."  He also won an Emmy in 2000 for Outstanding Directing for a Miniseries, Movie or a Special for HBO’s “The Corner.” On stage, Dutton has received Tony nominations for his work in “The Piano Lesson” and “Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom.”  He also received recognition from the NAACP with a 2003 Image Award for his role in the television movie "DC Sniper," an award he also won in 1992 for his lead role in the critically acclaimed series "ROC," where Dutton also served as executive producer.

Jennifer Love Hewitt is currently starring in the upcoming CBS drama series “Ghost Whisperer” as ‘Melinda Gordon,” a newlywed who delivers messages from the dead to the living.  She most recently appeared in the live action/CGI feature “Garfield” and has completed production on two independent films, “The Truth About Love” and “If Only.” Hewitt has appeared in numerous feature films including “I Know What You Did Last Summer,” “I Still Know What You Did Last Summer,” “Heartbreakers,” “The Tuxedo” and  “Sister Act 2.”  Her television credits include the title role in critically acclaimed “The Audrey Hepburn Story” and ‘Sarah Reeves’ in the award-winning “Party of Five.”

Ellen Pompeo is currently starring as title character ‘Dr. Meredith Grey’ in the ABC series “Grey’s Anatomy.” She made her studio screen debut in Brad Silberling’s “Moonlight Mile” and has appeared in successful feature films including “Old School” and Steven Spielberg’s “Catch Me If You Can.” Her independent feature credits include “In the Weeds,” “Coming Soon” and “Glory Days.”

Emmy-award winner Jimmy Smits currently plays ‘Matt Santos,’ a Houston Congressman who aspires to the White House, on the Emmy-winning NBC drama “The West Wing.” Smits garnered five Emmy nominations and won the Golden Globe for his role as ‘Det. Bobby Simone’ on the Emmy-winning drama “NYPD Blue.” Smits won the Emmy in 1990 for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series as ‘Victor Sifuentes’ on “L.A. Law.”  Most recently, he appeared as ‘Ruben Santiago’ in HBO’s “Lackawanna Blues” and as ‘Senator Bail Organa in “Star Wars: Episode III: Revenge of the Sith.”

Two-time Emmy winner Sela Ward returns to network television this fall in the cast of the FOX medical drama “House.”  Ward received an Emmy Award in 2000, two Emmy nominations, a Golden Globe Award and two additional nominations, all as Best Actress in a Drama, for her portrayal of ‘Lily Manning’ on ABC’s critically acclaimed dramatic series “Once and Again.”  She won her first Emmy in 1994 for her role as ‘Teddy’ on NBC’s award-winning “Sisters” and garnered a SAG nomination. Ward’s numerous television credits include the telefilm “Almost Golden: The Jessica Savitch Story,” for which she won a CableACE award, “Suburban Madness,” “Rescuers Stories of Courage – Two Women,” “The Reef,” “Double Jeopardy,” “Killer Rules,” “The Haunting of Sarah Hardy,” “Bridesmaids,” “King of Love” and “Emerald Point, N.A.S.” Her film credits include “The Day After Tomorrow,” “The Fugitive,” “54,” “My Fellow Americans,” Hello Again,” “Nothing in Common,” “Rustler’s Rhapsody,” “The Man Who Loved Women” and “Dirty Dancing 2: Havana Nights.”
