About The Event

Governors Lily Tomlin and Patrika Darbo, along with the Performers Peer Group Executive Committee, invites Performers peer group members to a professional development panel.

Get Whipped Into Submission!

You don't need to be a series lead to submit for a Performer Emmy nomination - but if you are, should you rely on your producer, studio, or network to handle your submission? Is taking matters into your own hands self-serving and pretentious, or smart business?

Please join our panelists for an informative evening discussing all things Emmy and you, the performer.

Topics to include:

  • New submission rules you need to know!
  • All performer Emmy categories: from lead to supporting, comedy to drama, guest to voice-over, short form, etc.
  • The timeline, as well as the physical how-to process regarding every step and round of Emmy submissions
  • Hints on submission editing strategies
  • and more!

Panelists to include:

  • Patrika Darbo, Performers Peer Group Governor, Primetime Emmy winner and Daytime Emmy Nominee
  • Bob Bergen, Past Performers Peer Group Governor, two-time Primetime Emmy nominee
  • Anthony Turk, Turk Entertainment Public Relations
  • Dave Manship, Edit Plus, Owner/Editor for many Emmy-nominated Performer submissions
  • Sheri Ebner, Director, Primetime Emmy Awards, Television Academy
