Windell Middlebrooks was an actor best known for his role as Curtis Brumfield on the medical crime drama Body of Proof. He was a regular on the ABC series from 2011 through 2013.

Windell Middlebrooks was an actor best known for his role as Curtis Brumfield on the medical crime drama Body of Proof. He was a regular on the ABC series from 2011 through 2013.

The actor landed several recurring roles on popular television series, including a six-episode performance on Scrubs as Captain Duncook, a security guard on the show’s hospital campus, and the part of Kirby Morris on The Suite Life on Deck. He also had small roles on The Bernie Mac Show, My Name Is Earl, Veronica Mars, Hannah Montana, ER, Cougar Town, Entourage, It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia and Parks and Recreation.

For film, Middlebrooks appeared in Enlightened! and Miss March, as well as the 2015 movie Road Hard, starring Adam Carolla. He also had a notable appearance as a deliveryman in a series of ads for Miller High Life.

Middlebrooks died March 10, 2015, in Los Angeles. The cause was not reported. He was 36.
