Terrence Evans

Terrence Evans was an actor best known for his roles in Terminator 2, the 2003 remake of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre and the 2006 release The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning. In the latter he played Leatherface’s uncle Old Monty.

The 6-foot-6 actor, whose work spanned more than four decades, also appeared in the films Pale Rider, Chain Letter, What's Love Got to Do with It, The Last Embrace, Down in the Valley and Bigfoot the Movie.

His work in television was more extensive, with appearances in series that included Hart to Hart, The Incredible Hulk, Little House on the Prairie, Quincy M.E., The Dukes of Hazzard, The A-Team, Hill Street Blues, The Golden Girls, Falcon Crest, Quantum Leap, Star Trek (Deep Space Nine and Voyager), The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, ER, Cold Case, Las Vegas and Eagleheart.

He played three characters across the Star Trek series: mute farmhand Baltrim in Star Trek: Deep Space Nine; Proka Migdal, the adoptive father of a Cardassian boy, also in Star Trek: Deep Space Nine; and Ambassador Treen in Star Trek: Voyager.

A graduate of Carnegie Mellon University, he was also active in Los Angeles theater. Between Theatricum Botanicum and Theatre Palisades, he appeared in productions that included The Seagull, Bus Stop, The Crucible, South Pacific, Three Penny Opera and The Madwoman of Chaillot.

Evans died August 7, 2015 in Burbank, California. He was 81.
