Taylor Negron was an actor, comedian and writer who worked in theater, film and television for more than 30 years.
Born in Glendale, California, he studied acting with Lee Strasberg and participated in a private comedy seminar with Lucille Ball, for whom he worked as an intern in his late teens.
Negron began performing standup comedy while still in high school and went on to appear as an extra in films before breaking through as a performer with small TV parts and a role in the 1982 feature comedy Young Doctors in Love.

In addition to guest roles in dozens of television series — including Hill Street Blues, Anything But Love, Falcon Crest, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, The Practice, ER, Nash Bridges and Reno 911! — he had recurring roles in such shows as Detective School, Hope & Gloria, The Hughleys and So Little Time.
The multitalented artist was also a playwright, poet, essayist and painter.
Negron died January 10, 2015. He was 57.
