Stuart Scott

Scott Stuart was an innovative ESPN sportscaster. He brought a fresh, unique voice to the premiere sports network.

Born in Chicago, he spent the early part of his life in North Carolina and graduated from the University of North Carolina. After working at a number of local television stations, he joined ESPN in 1993 on ESPN2.

Eventually, Scott rose to the postiion of anchor on ESPN's popular series SportsCenter. He also covered the Super Bowl, the NBA finals, and the World Series, among other events, for the network.

Scott died January 4, 2015.
