She is perhaps besyt known for the role of Susan Martin, the daughter of a Revolutionary War-era militia leader played by Mel Gibson in The Patriot. Heath Ledger played her brother, Gabriel Martin.
Her other movies included Don’t Say a Word, Riding in Cars with Boys, Against the Ropes, Kill Your Darlings, Good Day for It and Sick Boy.
Bartusiak died July 19, 2014. She was 21.
