Sandy Grossman was a television sports director who oversaw decades major events for the NFL, NBA, NHL and more.
Born in Newark, New Jersey, Grossman graduated from the University of Alabama and served in the Army Signal Corps prior to going to work for CBS Sports in 1963. He remained with the network for 30 years before moving to Fox in 1994.
Between the two networks, Grossman directed 21 seasons of NFL coverage working with John Madden and Pat Summerall. He also directed 10 Super Bowls — seven for CBS, three for Fox — as well as five Stanley Cup Finals and 18 NBA Finals.
