Sandy Gallin was a talent manager, producer and home designer, best known for helping to shape the careers of Michael Jackson, Mariah Carey, Richard Pryor, Cher, Joan Rivers, Nicole Kidman, Renée Zellweger, Lily Tomlin, Roseanne, Martin Lawrence, Paul Lynde, Howie Mandell and Whoopi Goldberg.

In 1985, he partnered with Dolly Parton to form the company Sandollar Productions, which was responsible for producing the Father of the Bride films, Sabrina, Kicking and Screaming and Common Threads: Stories From the Quilt, which won an Oscar for best feature documentary.  

Gallin also produced the movie Buffy the Vampire Slayer, which led to the long-running series of the same name, as well as the spin-off Angel. Additionally, Gallin served as a producer on episodes of the series Dolly, All-American Girl, and The Wonderful World of Disney.

In 1980, he won an Emmy Award for his work on the telefilm The Miracle Worker.

As a home designer, Gallin sold properties to Marvin Hamlisch, Kenny G, Frank Sinatra and Mark Burnett, and over the past decade he did luxury renovations for Marilyn and Jeffrey Katzenberg, Shelli and Irving Azoff, Deborah and Allen Grubman, and Jimmy Iovine, among others.

Gallin died April 21, 2017. He was 76.
