Ryan C. Cosgrove

Ryan C. Cosgrove was a graphic designer best known for his work on the animated films The Polar Express and The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie, as well as the television series CSI: Miami.

A graduate of Columbia College Chicago, where he majored in directing and screenwriting, Cosgrove was self-taught as a graphic designer. He got his start working as an art department assistant under his mentor Rick Carter on 2004’s Polar Express. Soon after, he joined the ADG (Local 800) and began working regularly in both film and television.

He contributed to the films The Terminal, Flight of the Phoenix, Cougar Club and The Janky Promoters. He also worked extensively in television, including the series Dexter, Life, 2009’s 90210 remake, The Office, The Event, Revenge, Big Time Rush, Castle, Raising Hope and Betrayal.

He was married to actress Laura Orrico.

Cosgrove died April 29, 2015, in Chicago, Illinois. He was 39.
