Raymond Wagner was an executive who became a successful film and television producer. His feature credits included Petulia and Turner and Hooch.
Wagner, who got his start in advertising, ran the commercials division of the Young & Rubicam agency and also directed commerials before moving into show business.
In the 1960s he oversaw the production of pilots for Universal Television and produced the made-for-TV movie The Hanged Man, starring Robert Culp, Edmond O'Brien and Vera Miles, as well as an episode of Kraft Suspense Theatre.

His first movie as a producer, Petulia, starring Julie Christie and George C. Scott, was released in 1968; in 1970 he produced Loving, starring George Segal and Eva Marie Saint.
In the 1970s he was vice president of production at MGM, where he guided such acclaimed movies as Network, Fame, The Sunshine Boys and Logan’s Run.
He returned to producing in the 1980s. In addition to Turner and Hooch, his credits included Code of Silence, Rent-a-Cop, Run and Snow Day.
Wagner died March 1, 2014, in Westwood, California. He was 85.
