Peter Baldwin was a director and actor best known for his Emmy Award-winning work helming the ABC family dramedy The Wonder Years. Baldwin directed ten episodes of the series, winning in 1989, and earning another nomination in 1991.

Prior to Wonder Years, Baldwin earned a nomination in 1972, for his work directing an episode of Mary Tyler Moore.

He helmed hundreds of episodes of television over the course of his career, including episodes of The Dick Van Dyke Show, Gomer Pyle: USMC, The Andy Griffith Show, The Doris Day Show, The Partridge Family, The Brady Bunch, Sanford and Son, The Bob Newhart Show, Happy Days, Chico and the Man, The Love Boat, Benson, Life with Lucy, Mary, Family Ties, Webster, ALF, My Two Dads, Full House, Family Matters, Newhart, The New WKRP in Cincinnati, Murphy Brown, Blossom, NewsRadio, Grace Under Fire, Cybill and Even Stevens.

Baldwin began his career in entertainment as a performer and contract player at Paramount, appearing in episodes of West Point, The Untouchables, Perry Mason, Ben Casey and The Outer Limits as well as Billy Wilder's Stalag 17, George Seaton's Little Boy Lost and Cecil B. DeMille's The Ten Commandments.

Baldwin died November 19, 2017, in Pebble Beach, California. He was 86.
