Paul Sylbert

Paul Sylbert was a production designer and art director best known for his Academy Award-winning work on the 1978 film Heaven Can Wait.

Sylbert also worked on the films One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, Kramer vs. Kramer, Conspiracy Theory and The Prince of Tides.

He began his career at CBS, where he designed sets and scenery on the variety show Premiere and the series Suspense.

Additionally, Sylbert served as a set decorator on the series Studio One in Hollywood, and was a production designer for Play of the Week and Live from Lincoln Center.

Sylbert died November 19, 2016, in Jenkinstown, Pennsylvania. He was 88.
