Nicholas Wiltgen
Nicholas Wiltgen was a meteorologist for the Weather Channel, where he worked for more than 15 years. He joined the company in 2001 as a senior radio broadcast meteorologist, delivering forecasts for radio affiliates. He stayed in the position for nearly 11 years before moving into digital production, creating weather and nature-related content for the channel's website.
In 2014, Wiltgen was promoted to senior digital meteorologist, a position in which he oversaw the digital team. He also occasionally appeared on air, to discuss a story featured on the Weather Channel's site.
Wiltgren was also known among his colleagues for tracking weather in eight different languages, translating international weather bulletins, often without the help of a translation application or tool of any kind.

Wiltgen died at age 39 on January 24, 2016, in Atlanta, Georgia. The reported cause of death was suicide.
