Nancy Dow

Nancy Dow was an actress, model and the mother of actress Jennifer Aniston. Dow married Aniston’s father, John Aniston, in 1965, and Jennifer was their only child. The couple remained together until 1981. Dow was previously married to pianist Jack Melick, with whom she had a son, John Jr.

Dow appeared on 1960s television shows including The Beverly Hillbillies, The Wild Wild West and Mr. Terrific. Dow also appeared as herself in the 2010 episode of Biography dedicated to Aniston.

Additionally, she appeared in the films The Ice House and, most recently, the 2004 Canadian production Pure.

In 1999, Dow released a book about her relationship with her daughter entitled From Mother and Daughter to Friends: A Memoir.
