Mitch Waldow

Mitch Waldow is an established veteran of the Los Angeles broadcast market. He has worked as a reporter, writer, producer, assignment manager — and filled just about every other editorial post at a half-dozen television stations.

Waldow is one of several rotating co-anchors on MyFoxLA's popular “Realtime Traffic” weekday afternoon webcast. As archive manager for Fox-owned and operated stations in Los Angeles, Waldow has produced three Emmy-nominated documentaries and specials. He earned a newswriting Emmy nomination as well.

A regional Edward R. Murrow Award winner for writing, Waldow is also the national recipient of the Freedoms Foundation's George Washington Medal and has received several Los Angeles Press Club Awards.

Waldow is a film collector and a Los Angeles history buff. He has a stock film library of Southern California scenes going back to the 1920s. Material from his personal collection has been licensed to many television and film productions. In addition to his service as a Television Academy governor, Waldow has served on the Executive Committee as Los Angeles Area Vice Chair.
