Mirjana Puhar

Mirjana Puhar was a model and contestant on the 21st cycle of the CW show America’s Next Top Model, which aired in 2014. Competing against 14 other contestants, she was eliminated from the show in the 10th episode. 

Born in Sremska Mitrovica, Serbia, Puhar grew up in New York City and later Charlotte, North Carolina, after her family fled war-torn Serbia when she was five years old. She dropped out of high school at 16, and earned her GED in community college right before the start of ANTM.

The model began her career when she was 12. Most of her pre-ANTM work was for Charlotte modeling centers such as Barbizon and John Casablancas, and for runway shows during Charlotte Fashion Week.

Puhar and two others were murdered on February 24, 2015, in Charlotte, North Carolina. She was 19.
