Lee Maddux

Lee Maddux was a television writer whose numerous credits included Scarecrow and Mrs. King and Night Court.

Maddux got his start in the mid 1970s with the kids' comedy Wonderbug.

In the ’80s, in addition to Scarecrow and Mrs. King and Night Court, he wrote for Benson, Simon & SimonIn the Heat of the Night, Hunter and MacGyver.

His career took a shift  in the late ’90s, when he began writing German-language projects, beginning with the short film The Coronation. He went on to write for the German animated series WinneToons, and he co-wrote a feature film based on the show's characters, titled WinneToons — Die Legende vom Schatz im Silbersee.

Maddux died September 9, 2014, in San Francisco. He was 68.
