Kristen Wiig recently finished her seventh and final season as a cast member on NBC’s revered show Saturday Night Live. Throughout her time on the show, Wiig received four Emmy nominations for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series, playing such memorable characters as the excitable Target Lady, Lawrence Welk singer Doonese, the irrating one-upper Penelope, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, and Suze Orman, among others.

Kristen is about to begin production on IFC’s six episode mini-series The Spoils Of Babylon, produced by Will Ferrell and Adam McKay. Babylon chronicles the sexy and dramatic lives of the Morehouse family who have made their fortune in the oil business. Wiig stars opposite Tobey Maquire, who together, run the Morehouse Enterprise while fighting their feelings for each other. The series will debut in early 2014.

Wiig can be heard as the voice of Lucy Wilde in Universal and Illumination Entertainment’s much anticipated sequel, Despicable Me 2. Voicing opposite Steve Carrell, the film was released on July 3rd, 2013.

Also in Summer 2013, Wiig stars in Girl Most Likely directed by Shari Springer Berman and Robert Pulcini (American Splendor). Girl Most Likely is the story of a moderately successful New York playwright (Wiig) who stages a fake suicide attempt to win back her ex-boyfriend, only to end up being forced into the custody of her gambling-addict mother. Girl Most Likely debuted at the 2012 Toronto International Film Festival and will be released by Lionsgate and Roadside attractions on July 19th.

Later in 2013, Wiig will star opposite Ben Stiller in The Secret Life Of Walter Mitty, directed by Stiller. Based on James Thurber’s classic story, The Secret Life Of Walter Mitty chronicles the story of a day-dreamer (Stiller,) who escapes his anonymous life by disappearing into the world of fantasies filled with heroism, romance and action. When his job along with that of his co-worker (Wiig) is threatened, Walter takes action in the real world embarking on a global journey that turns into an adventure more extraordinary than anything he could have ever imagined. Mitty will be released by Twentieth Century Fox on Christmas Day.

Wiig recently wrapped production on Anchorman; The Legend Continues opposite Steve Carrell, Paul Rudd and Will Ferrell. Anchorman will be released by Paramount Pictures on December 20th, 2013.

Last year, Wiig wrapped production on two independent films Hateship, Loveship directed by Liza Johnson starring opposite Guy Pearce and Hailee Steinfeld and The Skeleton Twins directed by Craig Johnson starring opposite Bill Hader.

In 2011, Wiig starred in the critically acclaimed and breakout film of the summer Bridesmaids, which she co-wrote with Annie Mumolo. Directed by Paul Feig and produced by Judd Apatow, Bridesmaids has become Apatow’s highest-grossing production . Wiig was nominated for an Academy Award, Writers Guild of America Award and BAFTA Award for Best Original Screenplay on behalf of the film. She was also nominated for a Golden Globe in the Lead Actress in a Comedy or Musical category. The film received significant recognition, including a Golden Globe nomination for Best Motion Picture – Comedy or Musical, as well as a SAG nomination for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture.

Wiig captured audience’s attention with universal high praise as Katherine Heigl’s passive-aggressive boss in Judd Apatow’s smash-hit comedy Knocked Up. Wiig’s additional film credits include: Friends With Kids, Paul, All Good Things Despicable Me, Macgruber, How To Train Your Dragon, Extract, Whip It!, Adventureland, Ghost Town and Walk Hard.

Wiig will be seen in two episodes of Arrested Development premiering on Netflix this summer. In addition, Wiig has guest-starred on the Emmy-winning NBC series 30 Rock, and HBO’s Bored To Death and The Flight Of The Conchords. Wiig starred in the Cartoon Network's reboot of The Looney Tunes Show, supplying the voice of Bugs Bunny's gal pal, Lola Bunny.

A native of Rochester, New York, Wiig worked as a Main Company Member of the Los Angeles-based improve/sketch troupe “The Groundlings.” She joins the ranks of SNL cast mates Maya Rudolph, Will Ferrell, Phil Hartman, Will Forte and Jon Lovitz, who are all Groundlings alumni.

Wiig currently resides in New York City.
