Kerry Simon
Kerry Simon was a chef and reality program participant best known for his appearances on the competition television series Iron Chef America. His brash personality and culinary innovations led to him being dubbed the "rock 'n' roll chef" by Rolling Stone magazine.
Simon competed on Iron Chef twice, losing out to Todd English in 2001 in a dungeness crab battle, also known as the Las Vegas Showdown. But in 2005 he came away the victor in a hamburger battle against Cat Cora. He also served as a judge on the series and made appearances on season eight of Hell’s Kitchen and an episode of the Fine Living Network's What Makes it Tick.
Simon made his name in the Manhattan fine-dining scene (La Côte Basque, Lutece); he was also a Las Vegas mainstay (at Harrah's and Palms Place) and had a short-lived restaurant in Los Angeles at Hotel Sofitel in West Hollywood.
