Kathy Wong was a Directors Guild executive who oversaw the processing of residuals. Wong served in the department for 10 years, helping to implement technological upgrades during the course of her tenure.
Prior to the DGA, she served as supervisor of theatrical residuals at Disney and production controller at DIC Entertainment, and she worked in production finance and production accounting at ABC Television.
She also worked as a unit manager and freelance production manager for Good Morning America and variety specials, including the Academy Awards, Emmy Awards, Kennedy Center Honors and American Music Awards. She also freelanced as a production consultant.
Wong died March 23, 2017. She was 62.
