James Karen was an American character actor on Broadway, film and television.

Karen was best known for his recurring television role as Tom Bradford's boss, Eliot Randolph in Eight is Enough. His television appearances included As the World Turns, All My Children, Golden Girls, The Jeffersons, and Little House on the Prairie.
