Hugh Dane

Hugh Dane was an American actor.

Dane was best known for his recurring role as Hank, the security guard, on the American version of the sitcom The Office.

Dane's professional acting career began with a role in the 1989 video game, It Came from the Desert.

His first television role was in the two-part “Deadly Encounters” episode of Hunter in 1990. Other television work includes appearances on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Boy Meets World, Friends, Becker, The West Wing, Monk, Everybody Hates Chris, Hart of Dixie, New Girl, and Curb Your Enthusiasm.

Dane died May 16, 2018. He was 75.
