Erik Roner

Erik Roner was an athlete best known for his appearances on the MTV reality series Nitro Circus. The show launched in 2009 and followed a group of friends, led by Travis Pastrana, who traveled around the world and performed extreme stunts. Roner was recognized amongst the group for his skiing and BASE-jumping skills.

The success of the series led to a live tour, a series spinoff following said tour (Nitro Circus Live) and a 3D feature film, 2012’s Nitro Circus: The Movie. Roner appeared in the spinoffs as well as in 2010’s Jackass 3D. Circus featured several of the same cast members as Jackass, including the film’s ringleader, Johnny Knoxville, and Bam Margera.

Roner’s relationship with the Nitro crew began in 2005, when Pastrana contacted him to help the group BASE-jump dirt bikes into the Grand Canyon. He was asked to officially join the crew thereafter.
