Butterworth’s appearances on television include Little Leatherneck, an unsold sitcom pilot which aired on ABC as part of the seven-week 1966 series Summer Fun, and a two-part 1967 episode of Walt Disney's Wonderful World of Color, entitled "A Boy Called Nuthin’” (with Ron Howard). She also appeared on several popular variety shows of the day, including The Dean Martin Show, The Danny Kaye Show, The Andy Williams Show, and The Hollywood Palace.

Butterworth began performing Hawaiian music at an early age, gave concerts around the islands and worked with Don Ho. She later turned her back on acting in favor of a singing career, which continued into adulthood. She recorded a CD in Hawaii in the early 2000s.

Butterworth died March 6, 2018, in Hilo, Hawaii. She was 62.
