Beverlee Dean was a manager and casting executive who discovered and then helped guide the careers of Reese Witherspoon and Jim Caviezel.
In the mid-1970s, she moved to California from Milwaukee to create game shows and though she succeeded in getting a few to the pilot stage, none were picked up.
In 1990, Dean and Shari Rhodes cast the Robert Mulligan film The Man in the Moon, which marked the onscreen debut of Witherspoon.
Dean cast the child actors in the television movie Sarah, Plain and Tall, starring Glenn Close and Christopher Walken.
