2012 Creative Arts and 64th Primetime Emmys Award Governors Ball Sneak Preview

An exclusive first look at the menus, décor and inspiration of the Primetime Emmy Awards celebrations will be revealed August 22. Attendees will receive an advance peek at "a Romantic Rhapsody in Red."

On Wednesday, August 22, from 9:00-11:00 a.m., at the Leonard H. Goldenson Theatre in North Hollywood, the Television Academy will preview the Governors Ball for the 2012 Creative Arts and 64th Primetime Emmy Awards.

The lobby of the Goldenson Theatre will be transformed into a replica of this year’s Primetime Emmy® Awards celebrations: the Creative Arts Ball (September 15, following the 2012 Creative Arts Emmy Awards) and Governors Ball (September 23, following the 64th Primetime Emmy Awards.) This year’s décor theme — "a Romantic Rhapsody in Red" — will welcome guests into a romantic and dramatic embrace, transforming the West Hall. Guests will be awed by the explosion of red throughout the venue, with massive, stylized rose “petals” suspended overhead and 200,000 fresh-cut red roses adorning the guest tables.

Highlights of the “Sneak Peek” Press Preview will include food and beverage menus as revealed by Patina Catering, the GREY GOOSE® Vodka "Emmy® Cocktail," featuring GREY GOOSE Cherry Noir, wines by Beaulieu Vineyard, floral design by LA Premier, full décor samples, table settings and more.

Guests will be invited to taste and sip signature courses, cocktails, wines and desserts among stunning visuals. Food, beverage and design connoisseurs will be on-hand to speak to the collaboration and inspiration behind the highly anticipated galas.

On hand to discuss their work in creating these unforgettable evenings will be:

Joe Stewart — chair, Governors Ball Committee
