Jay Sures is one of three managing directors at the premier global talent and literary agency UTA, which he joined at its formation in 1991. He and his fellow board members preside over an agency known for representing many of the world’s best known award-winning artists working in all current and emerging areas of entertainment, including motion pictures, television, music, intellectual property, digital media and branded entertainment. The agency is also globally recognized in the areas of film and television packaging, film finance, corporate consulting, branding & licensing, endorsements and the representation of production talent.

Sures oversees UTA’s illustrious television practice, which includes the representation of award-winning creators, actors, writers, producers, directors and newscasters working across all platforms, including broadcast, premium cable, basic cable, digital and syndication.

Sures cofounded and is a vice president of the UTA Foundation, the agency’s private 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that advises clients and employees on philanthropy. He is vice chairman of the UCLA Cancer Center, recognized globally as a “top five” cancer research and care center. Sures has also served as an assistant visiting professor at UCLA, where he taught on the graduate level to students of the UCLA School of Theatre, Film and Television, the UCLA Anderson School of Management and the UCLA School of Law. Sures is the vice chairman of the Entertainment Industry Foundation (EIF), which is Hollywood’s largest and oldest charity, responsible for the annual “Stand Up To Cancer” event that has now become a global trend.

Born in Canada and raised in Los Angeles, Sures earned his B.A. from UCLA. Sures is married to interior designer Molly Isaksen. He has three children and lives in Brentwood, California.
