Parting is such sweet sorrow.

Television Academy and Unified

A great television finale can rile up a lot of emotions.

From jaw-dropping disbelief to heart pumping whodunnits, they often leave a small, sad void on our DVRs until the next season begins. This week we look at six season finales: Pretty Little Liars, The Fosters, Hart of Dixie, The Mindy Project, Looking and Girls. We wanted to know which of the following finales got fans passionate on social:

  • The shocking secrets and mysterious clue revealed on Pretty Little Liars
  • Jude struggling with the consequences of his actions in The Fosters
  • Zoe making a potentially life-changing decision on Hart of Dixie
  • Patrick figuring out what he wants in a relationship in Looking

  • Mindy’s baby daddy drama on The Mindy Project

  • The decision of whether or not to have a home birth on Girls

The Social Totals

In the end, it was the show about tall tales that towered over the other shows. Pretty Little Liars got the social gossip mill going, generating just shy of 3MM engagements on Facebook and Twitter for an impressive 74.9% market share.
