Sam Manners, Primetime Emmy-Nominated Producer

Sam Manners a production manager and producer who earned two Primetime Emmy nominations for his work on a made-for-TV movies, died June 1, 2012, in Los Angeles. He was 91.
Born Savino Maneri on March 29, 1921, in Cleveland, Ohio, Manners began his career in the late 1950s as a production supervisor on the television series The Adventures of Rin Tin Tin.
He went on to work as a production manager, associate producer and production executive on several other shows, including Naked City, Route 66 and The Wild, Wild West . he also worked as a second-unit director on these and other shows.
As a producer, he oversaw numerous made-for-television movies, including Dummy, Before and After, Guyana Tragedy: The Story of Jim Jones, The Pride of Jesse Hallam, Divorce Wars: A Love Story, Casanova, Bloodlines: Murder in the Family, A Walton Thanksgiving Reunion, Lies of the Heart: The Story of Laurie Kellogg, Beyond Betrayal, A Walton Wedding and A Walton Easter.
He earned Emmy nominations for Dummy and Guyana Tragedy: The Story of Jim Jones.
