Penelope Selwyn-Levey, Longtime Publicity Executive

In addition to posts with New World and UPN, Selwyn-Levey worked for several years with top writer-producer Stephen J. Cannell.

Penelope Selwyn-Levey, a publicity executive who worked for several top television company, died August 12, 2012, at a nursing home in Long Beach, California. She was 62.

According to news reports, she had been battling for years with bipolar disorder.

Selwyn-Levey began her media relations career at Walt Disney Television. She later served as vice president of publicity, advertising & promotion for Stephen J. Cannell. When New World Entertainment acquired Stephen J. Cannell Productions in 1995, she held a position at New World.

Most recently she was senior vice president of media & talent relations for the UPN network.
