Frank Pintauro, Longtime Showtime Marketing Executive

Pintauro was a key player in shaping the premium cable network's award-winning campaigns.

Frank Pintauro, a marketing executive whose served for more than 20 years as an executive vice president at the Showtime cable network, died October 6, 2012, in New York City. He was 61.

According to news reports, the cause was cancer.

Pintauro,who joined Showtime in 1989, previously worked at NBC Entertainment and ABC News.

At Showtime, he oversaw the company's in-house marketing agency, Red Group.

In 2011, Red Group was named In-House Creative Team of the Year by PromaxBDA.

In addition to his marketing responsibilities, Pintauro was part of Showtime's programming department, and helped to identify potential development properties.
